The German coach, who departed from Anfield in 2024, indicated that a future comeback is a possibility. The 58-year-old, following a hugely successful nine-year spell featuring Champions League success and ending the club's long wait in 30 years, now holds positions overseeing worldwide football within the Red Bull organization and as an advisor to Germany's league body.

Supporters’ Hopes and His Frank Comments

Liverpool won England's top flight in the previous campaign, but many fans holding him in high esteem would embrace the possibility of his potential comeback. During an extensive chat, he told the podcast host: “I stated I won't manage a different club in England. Therefore in case it's my former club...absolutely. It's plausible.”

“I’m 58, which suggests I might decide later on, who knows. Is a decision required immediately? Then I will not coach again. Fortunately, I don’t have to do that. I can just see what lies ahead.”

Conditions for a Comeback

Questioned regarding what circumstances must arise to tempt his return to the dugout, Klopp admitted he isn't eager for a comeback. “I'm not entirely sure, My present work fulfills me,” he stated. “I don’t miss coaching; I don’t miss standing under bad weather for two-and-a-half or three hours; I'm glad to skip press conferences repeatedly each week or having 10-12 interviews each week.

“I don’t miss the dressing room per se, but sitting in a restaurant with the players talking freely, that’s nice. We won a lot of games so there was often great spirits around the place. Remaining with me is Van Dijk's laughter vividly recalled for example.”

Commending Arne Slot

He commended for his successor, praising him for the adjustments which secured the championship last campaign. They've been defeated four in a row across various tournaments following significant transfers, yet he dismissed the notion it could be a slump.

“[Liverpool have] a phenomenal forward such as Wirtz, you will all eat your words with negative comments. An outstanding player. Ekitike, superb talent. It’s a really good thoughtfully assembled roster. No need for concern regarding the Reds, they will be fine.”

Emotional Tribute for the Late Forward

The manager expressed deep feeling regarding the passing of the Portuguese star, a player he signed during his tenure, and its impact for the team. The forward died tragically in a road accident alongside his brother this past summer.

“How do you replace somebody like Diogo? This isn't just regarding his footballing ability, it’s the guy he was. I can’t imagine the squad missing him. Putting it into words is tough regarding this. A devastating blow for the entire squad as well. Nobody at Liverpool would cite it as an excuse though it's a fact. Entering the changing area where he was omnipresent. Coping with it emotionally is not easy. Overwhelming.”
