Former Physician Accused of Sexual Assault Allegations Against 38 Patients
Legal authorities report that a former doctor stands accused of committing assaults involving thirty-eight individuals who were patients.
Details of the Serious Allegations
Nathaniel Spencer from Birmingham is accused of dozens of sexual offences – comprising some against children younger than 13 – spanning the period from 2017 to 2021.
A deputy chief CPS official commented, “Legal teams have diligently worked to support a detailed and complex police inquiry, carefully reviewing the available evidence to determine that there is sufficient evidence to bring the case to trial and that it is in the public interest.”
Scope of the Investigation
These allegations follow what investigators called a “complex investigation” into alleged assaults at medical facilities: a hospital in Stoke-on-Trent and Russells Hall hospital.
The defendant will appear at the local magistrates' court on 20 January.

Prosecutors outline the forty-five sexual offences he is charged with:
- Fifteen counts of sexual assault.
- 17 counts of penetrative assault.
- Nine counts of sexual assault of a child under 13.
- Three counts of penetrative assault on a child under thirteen.
- One count of attempting to assault by penetration.
