The head of the Justice Department, Pam Bondi, confirmed her stepping down on the start of the week. Bondi stated that the appeals court finding made it "untenable" for her to effectively run her office.
"But do not mistake adherence to the ruling as defeat," she declared. "My fight will now reach across America."
